Online Banking FAQs

How do I sign up for Online Banking?

New clients will be guided through Online Banking setups during onboarding. If you are an existing client and not currently enrolled in Online Banking, please contact us or speak directly to your relationship manager.

Are my Online Banking and Mobile Banking credentials the same?

Yes. The credentials you set up for Online Banking are also used for Mobile Banking. Please always ensure that your credentials are kept safe and secure.

What if I forgot my password?

Clients can reset their password through our self-serve password reset process.

  • Visit our Online Banking login and click "Forgot password or PIN?"
  • Enter your Online Banking username and email address, then click "Reset Password or PIN"
  • Check your email for a password reset link beginning with "https://web17.secureinternetbank.com"

Important: Password reset links will always contain this domain name. Do not click on suspicious links containing any other domain name. If you did not request a password reset but received an email, contact us and do not click on any links.

  • Click on the password reset link, or copy and paste directly into your browser if needed
  • Enter your new password, then enter it again to confirm it is typed correctly

Why am I getting an error message when resetting my password?

Locked Accounts

If you have unsuccessfully tried logging into your Online Banking account multiple times, your account may be locked. You will not be able to reset your password by yourself when your account is locked. Please contact us for assistance if you are unable to reset your password.

Single-use Links

Our password reset links are always single-use. If a password reset link has been clicked and the password reset process is not completed, the link will lead to an error message whenever it is clicked again. This is one of the most common reasons for receiving password reset error messages.

Email Security / URL Defense Tools

Businesses often use email security and URL defense tools which automatically rewrite all inbound email links and check links for malicious content. These automated security checks often count as a "click," even if you did not click the link yourself.

Password reset links are single-use, so you may encounter issues with resetting your password if an email security tool is in place and your password reset link contains long strings of added characters or begins with another domain name, e.g.

  • urldefense.proofpoint.com
  • example000.fortimail.com
  • example.com/fmlurlsvc
  • link.edgepilot.com

Workarounds may include:

  • Copying and pasting the password reset link directly into your browser, without any added characters
  • Requesting your company's IT or security team to exempt "https://web17.secureinternetbank.com" from your email system's URL defense or link protection settings (often referred to as "Exceptions," "Safe List," "Allow List" or "Whitelist")

If your company is using any of the common solutions below, your IT or security team can reference these help articles to exempt our password reset URLs:
