What is Remote Deposit Capture (RDC)?

GenuBank's Remote Deposit Capture solution enables businesses to make online check deposits 24/7. With RDC, you no longer need to visit a branch or ATM to deposit checks. All you need is an internet connection and a compatible check scanner, which we provide. RDC comes with multiple benefits, including:

  • Funds are generally available sooner
  • Fully integrated within Online Banking

How do I sign up for RDC?

To be eligible for Remote Deposit Capture, you must:

  • Have a GenuBank business checking or money market account
  • Review and accept our Remote Deposit Capture Agreement


To get started, please contact us or speak with your relationship manager.

How do I deposit a check?

Once you are enrolled in RDC and have your check scanner set up, follow these steps to deposit a check:

  • Log into Online Banking
  • Click on "Checks & Deposits" from the main menu
  • Click on "Deposit Checks" and a new browser tab or window will open
  • Click on "Create Deposit"
  • Enter the Deposit Amount, select which account to credit, and enter an optional Store Number
  • Click "Continue" and ensure the check is correctly loaded into the scanner
  • Click "Scan" and, once the scan is complete, click either "Submit Deposit" or "Save Deposit"

Note: If you click "Save Deposit," you can save your progress and make changes before submitting.

  • Once ready to submit, review the deposit details, choose whether to write an optional Memo, and click "Submit Deposit"

Can I scan and deposit multiple checks at a time?

Yes, you can scan and deposit multiple checks at a time. You will have an opportunity to review the details of each check before submitting the deposit, and the system will automatically check for any errors. If you find an error with a scanned check or need to remove it for any reason, you can do so before submitting the deposit.

Does RDC help prevent submitting the same check twice?

Yes, the RDC system automatically checks for potential duplicate submissions and provides a warning.

Yes, each deposit will have a status (e.g. Submitted or Pending Approval).
